Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Jia Wei Beauty. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, as well as the booking and provision of our professional hair and makeup services. By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry, signing a contract, or booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our website or services.

1. Services Offered
Jia Wei Beauty is a California-based luxury beauty team providing on-location hair and makeup services for weddings, special events, and related occasions. Services may include bridal hair and makeup, preview appointments (also referred to as trials), and services for additional guests, as outlined in your signed agreement.
All services are subject to availability, location, and the terms specified in your individual contract or invoice.

2. Booking & Contractual Agreement
A booking is confirmed only when:
A signed contract has been received, and
A non-refundable retainer has been paid in full.
The individual who signs the contract (“Client”) is legally responsible for all terms, payments, and obligations under the agreement, regardless of who receives the services or submits payment. If a third party (such as a parent or family member) submits payment, this does not alter contractual responsibility unless explicitly stated in writing.

3. Payments, Retainers & Fees
All retainers are non-refundable and secure your event date and artist availability. The remaining balance is due according to the payment schedule outlined in your contract.
Pricing is based on the details provided at the time of booking, including event location, number of services, timing, and staffing needs. Any changes to these details may result in additional fees.
Accepted payment methods and payment deadlines will be outlined in your invoice or contract.

4. Bridal Previews / Trials
Bridal previews are a professional service requiring dedicated time, preparation, and product usage. All preview appointments are non-refundable, regardless of outcome or booking decisions.
A preview does not guarantee a specific result, as makeup and hair outcomes may vary based on skin condition, hair texture, environmental factors, and communication during the appointment.

5. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate and complete event details
Ensure a suitable, safe working environment on the event day
Communicate timelines clearly and promptly
Disclose relevant skin sensitivities, allergies, or medical conditions prior to services
Delays caused by the client, wedding party, or third parties may impact the final outcome and do not warrant refunds.

6. Changes, Cancellations & Rescheduling
All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Retainers and payments are non-refundable except as explicitly stated in your contract.
Rescheduling is subject to availability and may require a new contract or additional fees. If Jia Wei Beauty is unable to perform services due to unforeseen circumstances, liability is limited to a refund of amounts paid, excluding the retainer, unless otherwise stated in your agreement.

7. Team & Artist Substitution
Jia Wei Beauty reserves the right to assign qualified team members or contracted artists to fulfill services as needed. All artists working under Jia Wei Beauty meet professional standards and are selected to ensure consistency, quality, and reliability.

8. Force Majeure, Illness & Event Disruption
Jia Wei Beauty shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performance of services resulting from circumstances beyond reasonable control (“Force Majeure Events”). These include, but are not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic or public health emergency, government orders or restrictions, transportation failures, power outages, civil unrest, venue closure, travel limitations, or other unforeseen events that make performance impossible, impracticable, or unsafe.
In the event that an assigned artist is unable to perform services due to illness, injury, emergency, or other Force Majeure Event, Jia Wei Beauty reserves the right to assign a qualified replacement artist when possible. All replacement artists meet professional standards and are selected to ensure continuity of service quality.
If services cannot be fulfilled due to a Force Majeure Event affecting either party, liability shall be limited to a refund of amounts paid for the affected services, excluding the non-refundable retainer, unless otherwise expressly stated in the Client’s contract. No additional compensation, damages, or reimbursements may be claimed.
If the Client’s event is postponed, disrupted, downsized, or canceled due to a Force Majeure Event, the Client remains bound by the payment, retainer, and cancellation terms outlined in their contract. Retainers and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. At the sole discretion of Jia Wei Beauty, and subject to availability, a reschedule may be offered and may require a new agreement, updated pricing, or additional fees.
Changes to event location, timeline, service scope, or party size resulting from a Force Majeure Event are not guaranteed and may require contract modification. Jia Wei Beauty is not responsible for failures or disruptions caused by third parties, including venues, planners, or travel providers.

9. Photography, Video & Marketing Use
Unless otherwise requested in writing, clients grant permission for Jia Wei Beauty to use non-identifying images or video captured during services for portfolio, website, and marketing purposes. No personal information will be disclosed.
Clients may opt out of marketing usage by submitting a written request prior to the event date.
